My First Outing in 4 Months!!!!!!

Well, at this point in time it had been a while since I had been wheelin'. I took a new Job in Chicago, but had some problems unloading my house back in Lafayette, IN. I was paying rent in Chicago and mortgage in Lafayette for a while, so I took a break from wheelin' since the pocket book could not support rent, mortgage, and wheelin'. This was my first trip back off road. I sold the house the previous day, and now I could hit the trails again!!

This is Matt's Ford F-350. He has a real nice truck with Super Swamper Boggers and everything else you need to bust through the mud. Matt is a great friend who has been continually helping me with my rig as I continue to tweak and improve the RE lift I installed in December 1999.

Uh oh!!!

On this day, Matt was trying out a full size truck trail at the Badlands. He got stuck once, but we managed to get him out by using a hi-lift jack, a few lengths of chain, and some elbow grease.

Skipperrrrrrrr!!!!

This is Chanin, Matt's better half who also works part time as spotter for the big yellow Ford.

This is Comet. Comet likes to go down steep hills at incredible speeds in his Cherokee. He has a 98 XJ with a 2" spacer lift. He tools around the Badlands at light speed!!!!

Here, Comet can be seen avoiding the deep part of the mudhole which later was to get the big Ford stuck.

While navigating the trees, Comet slides sideways and gets stuck between two trees. A high lift lack and come-a-long are all that is needed to get him back on track.

These are a few pictures of my rig. It looks similar to the pictures taken on the Y2K run. The only modifications is that I have added a drop pitman arm.
