32" Tires and 4.10 Gears!!

This was my second off road trip after installing 32" tires and 4.10 gears. My pictures from the first trip were lost when the disposable camera was stolen from my XJ. Anyhow, the new tires and gears were a huge improvement over the 235/75-15 tires and 3.07 gears which I had replaced.

Here I am playing in the rock quarry at the Badlands. I am lining up to take the plunge down the steep rock face.

I take the plunge over the edge and down the rock face. This is really a great drop off that can really get your blood pumping!

I drive away from the drop off to other challenges waiting on the green trail at the Badlands.

My friend Matt tackles the big sand hill located in the Rock Quarry. I hate to be the short wheelbase vehicle that tries to go up this hill after Matt dug his rig into the sand down to the axles.

Green trail at the Badlands has been rearranged somewhat in the last few months. They have added some more difficult climbs and also some major mudholes. This a section that shows off some of my XJ's flex. Although it certainly does not win any first place awards for articulation, it does a great job on the trails. It is a very stable vehicle despite 6" of lift and 32x11.50R15 tires, which are 5" larger in diameter than the stock 215/75R15's it came with from the dealer.

I could not resist taking a drive through the tubes about halfway through the green trail. These were a lot harder when I was stock, but now my XJ makes easy work of this obstacle.
