Roll Bar Seatbelt Attaching Point.   Here's a way to attach a 3 point seatbelt to a early Roll Bar, on the cheap.

1. Buy four 1 7/8" muffler clamps, two 7 /16" NF nuts, 1 foot of 1X3/16" steel stock.SEAT 004.jpg (16191 bytes) 8. Grind and dress all welds. SEAT 008.jpg (18213 bytes)
2. Cut the stock into two pieces 3 1/4" long.
3. Find the center of each piece.
4. Drill a 7/16" hole in the two stock pieces.
9. Paint to match roll bar.
10. Clamp onto roll bar 17 3/4" up from the top of the wheelhouse.
11. Tighten all nuts.
12. Deform the U-bolts or tack weld the nuts to the U-bolts.
5. Weld one of the nuts over the hole.   SEAT 005.jpg (15600 bytes)  13. Grind and dress the U-bolts as necessary. SEAT 013.jpg (21148 bytes)
6. Weld one end of the stock to a muffler clamp. SEAT 006.jpg (20932 bytes) 14. Paint to match.                             SEAT 011.jpg (11921 bytes)
7. Weld the other end of the the stock to the 2nd clamp.

Simple as that.  I don't claim it's pretty, but it's mighty strong, and very inexpensive. You can pretty it up by welding pieces on the sides of the clamp.   I plan to modify the passenger side mount to mount CB/Ham radio antennas and the Drivers side will be modified to mount a fire extinguisher.
