President's Notes (January 2001)
by Scott Hatch
I would like to first thank the membership of this club for electing me as their new President. I have worked hard alongside Bill Barnes the last four years of his Presidency. I know I have some VERY large shoes to fill, which I plan on outgrowing eventually. One thing I have always felt strongly about is this is our club. This isn't the President's, Vice President's, Treasurer's, or the Board of Director's club, we're just stewards. This is OUR club, every member of New England 4 Wheelers. Another view is always welcome, so come and join us to make it a better club.
The 2001 season is going to be a tough season for all clubs in the Northeast. At the moment it appears the state of New Hampshire has been closed off to our sport. To combat this a new association has been created called "Northeast Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs Inc." This new association will create an umbrella to obtain landowner permission to give access to all member clubs. This newsletter contains more info on the Association. Anyone wishing to volunteer let me know, we could always use more help.
