Since I bought it a couple of months ago I've rebuilt the intake manifold/carbi assembly, replaced all vacuum hoses and fuel lines, installed new hard core Saab thermo fan, installed new tacho, spotlights, new carpet throughout, seal kits for the clutch cylinders and various other parts such asspark plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor etc. It runs like a dream. 4" lift kit and Rancho shocks are next on the list, probably July thanks to Mr Taxman.

But little did we know if it would make it to July, as in April it met it's demise, here's the story told by Adam.

I went for a trek up into the mountains north of Wiseman's Ferry and in order to complete the last 50m of the 132km journey, was forced to cross a steadily flowing creek.  I walked the creek and found it came up to my hips so I decided to have a go.   I got about half way across when the front wheel dropped into what I suspect was a ditch causing the truck to slow very quickly.  This ruined my nice bow wave and caused the engine to stop as it slurped on some creek fluid.

Well.....three hours, two chains and two steel cables later I was on dry land waiting for the NRMA.   It looks like the truck may be written-off (I find out today) but I have asked to keep it. I'll use the money from the insurance to buy a snorkel, among other goodies like a suspension lift, and have the beast back on the road in no time thanks to the assistance of the guys on the list.   I have attached a photo for your perusal, it's not great but it gives you an idea.   The truck sank a bit due to the current washing the sand from under the wheels.
